Celebrating Our Moms | Happy Mother’s Day

This Mother’s Day, May 9th, we honor the strength, perseverance, and unconditional love of mothers everywhere—especially the mothers within The Bank of San Antonio family. In celebration of the universal joys and challenges of motherhood, we have asked a few of our mothers at the bank to share words of wisdom they have learned from their own mothers, as well as lessons they have learned from their children.

Brandi Carberry-Vitier

Market Executive

What have you learned from your mother?

My mother sees no boundaries. When I was young, she pushed constantly for her growth and our future. At the end of the day, she lives life her way. I love her sense of freedom and authenticity.

Senior Vice President, San Antonio Credit Executive

What have you learned from your mother?

The power of hard work and resilience.

Best piece of advice?
Be kind, always.

What have you learned from your children?
To enjoy the moment. I am a habitual planner and multitasker, and I am so grateful to be able to see the world through my kids’ eyes and experience that pureness of living in the present. They remind me every single day of the simple joys in life.

What have you learned from your mother?

Family is not about just showing up when you want to, it's about showing up even when you don't.

Best piece of advice?
Don't forget to spend time in the clouds.

What have you learned from your children?
Love is boundless and unwavering but take the time to breathe it all in.
