What We Create: Alamo Distilling Company’s Spirited Growth

June 28, 2018

At a New Year’s celebration with friends and family, Noel Burns made a resolution to build his own distillery, one that produces only high-quality craft spirits with authenticity and integrity. In 2015, Noel and business partner, Daniel Taylor, opened Alamo Distilling Company’s doors, and the business has grown exponentially since then. Last year, they moved to a new location five times larger than their first space. Today, you can find their craft spirits in 300 stores statewide and 100 shops in San Antonio.

Entrepreneurial Spirit

As one of the few grain-to-glass distilleries in Texas, Alamo Distilling Company takes pride in sourcing local and premium ingredients for its Alamo Rum, Alamo Dark Rum, Alamo Craft Whiskey, Alamo Bourbon and Red Copper Vodka. They want to distinguish their product using an authentic process, distilling spirits with only high-quality grains. Noel says, “Figuratively speaking, we want our blood, sweat, and tears to be behind our brand and product at the end of the day.”

With new distilling facilities, tasting room, and product expansion, Alamo Distilling Company finds personal value in its banking relationship. “We’re extremely happy with The Bank of San Antonio! Especially as a growing business, we feel taken care of by Steve and his team. Our relationship has primarily been one-on-one. We’ve been growing exponentially and it wouldn’t have been possible without having a great bank behind us.”
