What We Create: Chef Zach Lutton Builds Business
May 30, 2018
Nine years ago, Chef Zach Lutton knew he had a new business on his hands. After a few friends from his Cross Fit classes tried his healthy, portioned, ready-to-eat meals, the orders started to come. Zach was a professional chef during the week, and meal prep chef on the weekends. He began taking more meal prep orders for new clients, and single-handedly prepped over 90 meals. Then he finally decided to leave his executive chef position and go all-in on his dream. He enlisted his brother and mother to help him get the business launched. In 2010, Zedric’s was founded, and today has expanded to three locations across San Antonio.
With years of profitable experience under his belt, Zach advises budding entrepreneurs to understand that “numbers may dictate everything, but you must always know your limits and learn how to delegate.” He also noted that a key to any business’s success is the support of a great team and efficient tools that make day-to-day operations easier.
In addition to providing healthy, delicious, chef-prepared meals for his busy clients, Zach ensures that they receive the best service. This includes streamlining delivery operations, so they can save more time and have meals delivered straight to their door. He finds the Bank’s approach mirrors his own business mentality:
“ Providing personalized customer service is key, and The Bank of San Antonio has it. I love the fact that I never have to go into a banking branch. My Bank of San Antonio team works with my schedule, and they take care of everything quickly and efficiently.”
With plans for more expansion, Zach is steadfast in building his business’s development with The Bank of San Antonio.
